Two years later, on July 13, 1956, with the new China's first "Liberation brand" car off the production line, he and the majority of "auto people" together, ended the history of China could not produce cars, from then on began his life's ordinary work.
When he first entered the factory, Li Jingren was assigned to work in the heating workshop. He studied relevant technical knowledge by heart and worked in obscurity. Because of his excellent performance, he was often praised and encouraged, and as a cadre inspection and preparation object. In 1958, he was selected by his superiors to Dalian Machine Tool Factory for in-depth study and training. According to the factory plan, return to the factory after the training.
Due to his rich family origins background, plus the political situation at that time, his father got scolded and he felt the pressure, and the ideological burden of being afraid of being criticized after being promoted forced him to volunteer to return to the workshop and refuse to be promoted. So back to the factory after returning to the thermal power plant to engage in instrumentation testing work. But he never gave up his efforts and stayed focused on his job.

Li Jingren had a son and four daughters, all of whom also belonged to their own people, and most of them worked in the First Automobile. Although he rarely talked and occasionally drank to drown his sorrows, he spent his life educating and touching his children with practical actions. Li Jingren returned to FAW thermal power Plant and worked on instrumentation until his retirement in 1993. His life has many ordinary and unknown sacrifices in work and career. He quietly contributes to the development of Chinese automobile manufacturing industry with silent efforts and persistence.
He lived a simple and quiet life after retirement, but in the end, he did not escape the disaster of the three-year epidemic.
