KUNSHAN OVERSEAS FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION (abbreviation :KOFA) is a municipal, fellowship and non-profit social organization with the status of an independent legal entity, formed voluntarily by the representatives of all walks of life in Kunshan and related organizations, compatriots in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan compatriots and well-known overseas Chinese. Kunshan is a friendly association to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between people from all walks of life in Kunshan and friends at home and abroad. The purpose of the association is to hold high the flag of patriotism, unite the compatriots at home and abroad who love the Chinese nation, strengthen contact, enhance friendship, expand exchanges, and serve for the development of kunshan's economy, science and technology, culture, education and other undertakings, and serve for the reunification of the motherland and the revitalization of China.

The mission of kunshan Overseas Association is to promote the reform, opening-up and modernization of Kunshan, maintain the long-term stability, prosperity and development of Hong Kong and Macao, promote the peaceful reunification of the motherland, and enhance the friendship between the people of Kunshan and the people of other countries in the world. To maintain extensive contacts with compatriots in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Taiwan as well as overseas Chinese and their organizations to enhance mutual understanding, develop friendship and strengthen unity; We will actively encourage people from all walks of life in Kunshan to engage with compatriots from Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Taiwan and overseas Chinese in economy, science and technology, culture and education.

It strengthened contact and coordination with relevant parties, assisted government departments in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of compatriots from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan and overseas Chinese in Kunshan, provided services, and resolved their worries and difficulties.
