In this warm early winter, under the gentle sun, we gather here in the picturesque water town of Jiangnan to celebrate the successful conclusion of First China Minigolf League (Kunshan Station) in 2024. On behalf of the China Minigolf Sport Promotion Committee, I extend a warm welcome to all the leaders and guests who have attended this closing ceremony! I would also like to express my sincere congratulations to the athletes who achieved outstanding results in the competition!
Kunshan, a fertile ground that has nurtured the Minigolf sport, successfully hosted the 16th Minigolf World Championship in 2019. Today, we witness yet another important milestone in the popularization and development of Minigolf in China—the successful holding of the 2024 First China Minigolf League (Kunshan Station) in 2024.
First and foremost, I would like to pay my highest respect to all participating athletes. In the fierce competition across two rounds of 36 holes, you showcased your exceptional skills and tenacious fighting spirit, presenting us with breathtaking matches. Every swing and every strike you made on the course was filled with wisdom and courage, fully demonstrating the unique charm and infinite possibilities of Minigolf. Regardless of whether you emerged as the ultimate victors or courageous challengers, you all deserve our respect and admiration.
I would also like to express my gratitude to all the referees, coaches, team leaders, arbitration committees, medical services, and all staff members who worked diligently for this event. Your selfless dedication and rigorous enforcement of rules ensured that the competition was fair, just, and smoothly conducted. You created an excellent competitive environment for the athletes and provided a solid guarantee for the successful hosting of the event.
At the same time, I offer a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the distinguished guests who traveled from afar. Your presence adds even more brilliance and vitality to this event.
This competition marks a Ice-breaking event for national-level Minigolf events in China. All participating athletes and staff members, regardless of your achievements, positions, or allocated tasks, will leave a significant mark in the history of Minigolf development in China!
Today, we bid farewell to an exciting journey, but this also signifies a new beginning. Over the past four years, the China Minigolf Sport Promotion Committee has carried out promotional activities across 32 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China, including more than 60 counties and cities. We have organized over 40 competitions and more than 100 events, and established national-level regulations related to competitions. Approximately hundreds of thousands of people nationwide have begun to engage with Minigolf and develop an interest in the sport. We believe that Minigolf, as a sport that combines competitive sports and cultural tourism leisure, will surely flourish, widely spread, and deeply resonate with the people in China.
Finally, let us once again applaud the successful conclusion of this competition! Let us collectively look forward to the exciting matchups of the 2025 National Minigolf League and anticipate an even more glorious future for the Minigolf sport!
